Alex Ramadanis is a respected New York educator who has taught special and vocational classes and serves Queens College as an adjunct professor. He was also a firefighter with the Nyack Fire Department for 14 years. While with the department, Alex Ramadanis took on leadership responsibilities as a fire safety officer and fire police officer, providing a vital community service.
Mr. Ramadanis’ professional background includes a half dozen years as an applied behavior analysis (ABA) provider, where he conducted intervention and ABA analyses for children up to age three. He has also taught in public school settings and held roles such as testing coordinator and handball coach.
Mr. Ramadanis has a strong interest in mentoring teachers and teaching candidates, and this is among his responsibilities at Queens College. Undertaking grading of exams and presentations, he makes sure that students are learning at the correct pace and retaining information gained during his lectures. Alex Ramadanis holds an MS in special education and childhood education from Touro College.
